Definitions used below:
Voucher: coupon/travel document that gives the right to a flight on a balloon.
Passenger: Person that buys the voucher and/or participate in the flight and accepts this Terms and Conditions. Company: Giroinmongolfiera srl
- When you buy a voucher you accept the following "Terms and Conditions" reported also on our site www.giroinmongolfiera.com
- The purchase of the voucher can be made online on the site www.giroinmongolfiera.com, by e-mail writing to info@giroinmongolfiera.com and on Whatsapp writing to the phone number 333 843 8665.
- The booking of the flight can be made writing an e-mail to info@giroinmonfìgolfiera.com or to prenotazione@giroinmongolfiera.com.
- The date and the timetable of the booked flight will be confirmed by us through the sending of a Whatsapp message the evening before about 18 hours for the flights in the morning and the same day about 12 hours for flights in the afternoon, based on disponibilities and weather conditions.
- You have the right to exercise the withdrawal within 10 days from the purchase of the voucher if the reservation of the flight hasn't been made. It will be held the 10% of the price of the voucher as reimbursement of expenses.
- Buying a voucher for a standard flight you have the right to carry out a group flight on board of one of our balloons with other passengers. The take off changes according to the typology of purchased flight and/or decided by the pilot at the moment of the flight for safety reasons.
- Buying a voucher for an exclusive flight you have the right to carry out a private flight on board of one of our hot air balloons reserved in exclusive. The take off changes according to the typology of purchased flight and/or eventual other places indicated at the moment of the booking and/or decided by the pilot at the moment of the flight for safety reasons.
- The voucher is personal and non-refundable, except as provided at point 5. The eventual change of name on the voucher and/or delivery of the same voucher must be comunicated through e-mail address info@giroinmongolfiera.com at least 30 days before the deadline, to the direction of Giroinmongolfiera srl for acceptance. Before the flight the new beneficiary will have to sign for acceptance this "Terms and Conditions".
Extension of expired tickets
The voucher given by Giroinmongolfiera Srl are extendable only under explicit request of the customer, where a written request is made by e-mail at the e-mail address info@giroinmongolfiera.com by the expiry date or within 7 days beyond the expiry date.
Besides these terms any voucher can be extendable and it will expire definitely.
Extension cost:
3 months € 50 per person
6 months € 80 per person
Our obligations to the passenger
- The voucher gives the right to take part in hot air balloon experience by date and time to bne agreed by 12 months from the purchase and, if otherwise specified, it includes:
- Flight in a hot air balloon
- The transport with one of our vehicles from the place of meeting to to that of take off and then from that of landing to that of meeting
- Aviation insurance under current legislation
- Our fligfht are programmed to last from 45 to 70 minutes, but the pilot, for safety reasons, has the absolute responsability and power of deciding the last, the conduct of the flight, the moment and place of landing. We could never guarantee the exact duration or the route which the flight will follow, not being possible pre-set it in advance. It is a matter of final judgement of the authorities of the aviation insurance or the captain stop or delete the flight due to weather conditions and/or safety reasons. After 20 minutes from the take off, the flight will be considered made in all aspects and you will not be refunded.They are of exclusive competence and responsability of Giroinmongolfiera srl all the permissions, plans and the making of the flight with qualified staff, besides the employement of aircrafts certified for use.
- A flight in a hot air balloon depends completely on weather conditions. It is possible that the flight is deleted at any time, also few moments before the take off if the conditions don't guarantee the minimum safety requirements. If a flight is deleted due to weather conditions or for any other reason not dependent on our will, will be reproposed a new date for the flight. Voucher and eventual transport, food or accomodation costs incurred by the passenger/s will not be refunded.
- In standard group flights the minimal number of participants varies from a minimum of 3 to 14 passengers, depending of the typology of balloon used. In case that the minimum number required is not reached, the flight will be deleted and a new date for the flight will be re-proposed. Voucher and eventual transport, food or accomodation costs incurred by the passenger/s will not be refunded.
- If the flights are suspended due to force majeure the validity of the voucher will be extended for a period equivalent to the period of suspension. We are not responsible of economic losses or any damage procured by this eventual suspension.
- We reserve the right to assign the execution of our flights also to other operators, owners of regular licence ENAC who have a contract of collaboration with us. Also in this case these terms and conditions will be worth.
- Giroinmongolfiera srl has an insurance coverage for air carriers under the Montreal Convention of the 28th of May 1999, of the Regulation (CE) N. 785/2004 and of Regulation (UE) N.285/2010 for every passenger in case of death and/or personal injury. In every case the compensation is not due or less due if it is demonstrated that the injured passenger is responsible of the damage or has contributed by negligence , unlawful act or omission. The right of compensation for damages is prescribed at the end of the 2 years from the day of flight.
- The Company does not assume any responsability for any damage of cameras, phones or other objects the passenger brings during the flight. We does not assume any responsability for damages to vehicles or objects inside of them that may be necessary during the period they are parked at the meeting point.
Obligations of the passenger towards the Company
- The passenger will receive a Whatsapp message to confirm the flight the evening before towards 18.00 for the flights of the morning, and the same morning towards 12.00 for the flights of the afternoon. If you dopn't receive nothing the passenger is required to contact the Company by phone, to have the confirmation of the booking, to the following numbers:
- The passenger can change/delete the booking according to the following methods and costs:
- up to 5 days before the flight: the flight is re-programmed on an other date and it isn't requested any penalty for the change/ cancellation
- from 5 days to 36 hours before the flight: the flight is re-programmed on an other date and a penalty of change/cancellation equal to 50% of the cost of the voucher is requested.
- 24 hours before the flight:: the flight is re-programmed on an other date and it is requested a penalty of cancellation equal to the 100% of the cost of the voucher.
- The change/cancellation of a flight must be done only by e-mail address: info@giroinmongolfiera.com.
- To the date and relative time set for the flight, in case of absence and delay of more of 15 minutes compared to what was agreed, the user loses any right to use the voucher: no refund is provided.
General rules
- The flight on a hot air balloon can be risky as any other sport, hobby or activity. Buying a voucher or taking part in a flight the passenger is aware of the risks and he accepts them. The flight, in every case, will be under the control and supervsion of a certified pilot who is committed to making the flight safe and enjoyable.
- The pilot is not qualified to judge the health status of the passenger, if he can fly or not; however for your own safety and that of others, the passenger must be sure to be in physical conditions to attend the flight.
You can't fly if you have a disability, impairment, illness or syndrome that prevent fltying in a hot air balloon and in particular:
- It is not allowed to fly to those suffering from cardiovascular diseases, carriers of pacemakers, subjects suffering from heart disease
- It is not allowed to fly to people with problems in the bone system, suffering from osteoporosis
- It is not allowed to fly to people with severe back limb problems that prevent the normal walking necessary to get in and out of the chest of the balloon, operation that takes place by climbing one or two steps above a 120 cm parapet, and/or the landing position that consists in standing for a few minutes on partially bent knees and with your hands tight on the running handles on the basket.
- It is not allowed to fly to pregnant women
- It is not allowed to fly to people with severe problems of compensation of the auditory apparatus
In case of doubts we invite you to consult your doctor in advance to confirm your fitness to fly in a hot air balloon.
- It is not allowed to fly to people with a height of less than 120cm
- It is not allowed to fly to a person who has carried out diving activities in the 24 hours preceding the flight
- It is not allowed to fly to people under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
- It is not allowed to bring on board animals, dangerous goods, inflammable substances, ammunition, explosives, cutting and/or fire weapons. Electrical, electronic and/or photographic equipment may not be carried on board without the permission of the pilot-in-command and at his own risk. In nocase reimbursement shall be made for damage or loss of such equipment. Any goods on board travel under the exclusive control of the owner.
- The pilot has the duty, as provided for in the Navigation Code, of exclude from the flight any person who may pose a risk to the safety of the flight, including in the event that the crew and/or passengers are subjected to verbal or physical abuse by other passengers and/or accompanying persons, and/or in the presence of attitudes that may compromise the proper conduct of the activity. Anyone who is excluded from the flight for these reasons will not be refunded.
- An adolescent under 16 years old can fly only if acccompanied by an adult. From 16 to 18 yeras old the minor must have authorization signed by a parent.
- The passengers who are more than 95 kg have to communicate it in phase of booking/purchase of the voucher.
- The passengers have to wear clothes and shoes appropriate to the season, taking into account a thermal excursion of 3-4 degrees, due to the altitude and the possibility of landing on wet and muddy fields. It is forbidden to wear high heels.
- It is forbidden to smoke in the take-off and landing area and on board of the hot air balloon
- You consent us the treatment of your personal data for internal use in administration and accounting.

- Giroinmongolfiera srl reserves the right to refuse the sale of a Voucher at any time. In exceptional cases we reserve also to delete a voucher that already exists (with or without a refund) if the crew or the passengers are object of verbal or physical violence or if the regular performance of the activity risks to be disturbed by your behavior or that of your companions.
- Giroinmongolfiera srl reserves the right to change at any time these Terms and Conditions without any obligation to inform the public in advance.
- The competent court for each dispute is Cuneo
